Caps’ coach steps down following heartbreaking loss!/dutchysc/status/202073203626098689

Following a heartbreaking game 7 loss in the NHL’s Eastern Conference Semifinals, Washington Capital’s coach Dale Hunter has decided to step down from his position. Washington has never been Hunter’s dream job and he didn’t seem to like the scrutiny he was always under as the Capitals coach.

We don’t expect him to have any trouble finding a new gig if/when he wants to coach again. However, we won’t be surprised if he takes a year or two off.

Most fans of the team were shocked to see him go and wished him the best.

Dale Hunter isn't coming back? C'mon we need a steady coach #caps

Dale Hunter decides not to return to caps (or thats my take on the article) I'd say the stress of having to buy more suits was too much!

Dale Hunter is not coming back as coach……. bye bye 3/4ths of the current Caps. It's sort of shameful but I'll never forget this team

Sounds like Dale Hunter really wanted to go home more than he wanted to stay on with the #Caps. Can't fault him and wish him godspeed.

Sad to hear that Dale Hunter isn't returning with the #Caps … A great run indeed. Wondering who will take his spot.
