Unfortunately, it comes somewhat naturally for most of us to judge other people without really knowing them. We’re all a product of our pasts, shaped by our upbringing and experiences. But it’s important to look through all of that and remember that judging someone by their outward appearance truly is like only reading the cover of a book. And maybe the inside flap at best. Here’s a guy’s personal post that drives that point home.
So, there you have it. Don’t make hurtful assumptions about other people, especially those that you are already assuming want to kill you. Because that makes no sense. Share this guy’s experience with others. Spread the no-judging message.
If you have a child, you need to see what happened to this girl and her father.
Back in 2015, a dad by the name of Tim LeBlanc was walking by his 12-year-old daughter’s room at 2 a.m. when he noticed something strange. Not only was she not there, but her window was cracked. Racing to get his older son, the two began searching the neighborhood.
That’s when he watched his little girl step into a car with an older man. The man in question had contacted LeBlanc’s daughter on social media a few weeks prior by posing as a 15-year-old boy. The brave father took down the predator, who turned out to be 27 years old.
Luckily for LeBlanc’s daughter, he wasted no time going into hero mode!
“I don’t think she would’ve ever come home alive,” the terrified dad explained to a local news station. This story just goes to show you that social media can be a very dangerous thing, even if you’re the most protective parent in the world. Create an open dialogue with your kids to discuss the potential risks of posting personal information online!
