No one has ever claimed that dogs are the smartest creatures on the planet, but they sure are lovable!
After Sophie’s human took the screen off of their front door, she wasn’t quite sure if it was safe to come inside. Maybe she’s run into the screen too many times or has gotten scolded for scratching holes in it, but either way, she couldn’t wrap her head around the magical rectangle where a barrier used to be.
Watch as Sophie contemplates crossing the threshold. Even the promise of a treat isn’t enough to lure her inside.
This silly pooch was having a similar problem. Luckily, she has a very understanding daddy.
If you’ve ever wondered whether snake pits like the ones Indiana Jones is so afraid of actually exist, you’ll want to see this. A man recently attached a GoPro to a drone and flew it into a snake pit, and it was really filled with a gaggle of snakes. Needless to say, they weren’t pumped about the intrusion.
Growing angrier by the second, it was only a matter of time until they struck. What happened at the 2:15 mark will have you jumping out of your seat!
Well, I know what will be fueling my nightmares until further notice. If that guy tries this again, he might need Indy’s help!
If I had to choose a favorite side, anything with potatoes would probably be it. But if you forced me to narrow it down further, it’d be a tie between french fries and mashed potatoes.
On the one hand, mashed potatoes are so smooth, but I love that fries are crunchy and super salty. But what happens when you combine my favorite aspects of both…and throw in some cheese and bacon? Well, you get this ridiculously tasty recipe for mashed potato spring rolls!
Kids love to dress up like and imitate their favorite animals.
Personally, I loved to act like a peppy dog. It’s an adorable phenomenon, and the videos that pop up online after Halloween each year are too cute to handle. The video below, which shows a little tyke pretending to be a lion, is one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen.
Watch the cuteness that happens when the toddler’s parent tries to get their little lion to roar.
Animals in nature are truly spectacular things to witness. The wild is where they belong and where they thrive.
Unfortunately, that freedom is stolen from far too many wild animals.
That’s just what happened to these two bear cubs just outside of Moscow. They were likely bought illegally and kept as pets, and as if that wasn’t bad enough, they were then abandoned in the woods when they became too big for their owners to care for.
The authorities were alerted when local residents saw the bears still wearing the collars given to them by their previous owners. Found dehydrated and highly unprepared for life in the wild, the scene could have ended tragically had this team of officers not rescued them just in time.
While these bear cubs could be saved, there are still countless other animals lost to captive living every year.
Finding out that a new baby is on the way is always exciting, but this father-to-be’s reaction is especially precious.
In less than a minute, he goes through a roller coaster ride of emotions, using not one, but two languages to vent his shock and excitement. From “I don’t believe you” to “Oh my god!” his hilarious expressions of joy will make you feel all warm and fuzzy.
Watch this future dad’s adorable reaction to the big surprise in the video below.
While olympians in general are absolutely incredible, paralympians are particularly inspiring.
Not only do they have to qualify, but they must do so with what most people see as physical limitations. That being said, watching them in action proves that they have absolutely zero limits. This British advertisement for the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio is proof positive of that fact.
The word “can’t” isn’t even in their vocabulary.
Okay, I was pumped about all this before, but now I’m losing my mind. These athletes are amazing!

On May 21, Corinne Cinatl, 29, from Victoria, Australia gave birth to her baby girl Matilda in her car at the side of the road while enroute to the hospital. She and her husband had hoped to make the 35 minute trip, but baby Matilda decided she could not wait that long. Cinatl’s husband, Mishi pulled the car over when her water broke and helped delivered the baby right there in the car. Luckily the couple’s birth photographer had been following them on the way to the hospital and captured the whole thing.
Cinatl said she had been having pain in her ribs for two weeks prior. So she thought nothing of it when she woke up around 3am with the same pain.
When stretching didn’t help and the pain intensified, Cinatl realized she was having contractions. Baby Matilda was on her way.
Cinatl was hesitant to believe she was actually going into labor. “I thought I had more time,” she said.
When her husband saw the contractions were coming faster and about 4 minutes apart, he packed up the car and got ready to leave. He also notified the birth photographer, Breanna Gravener that the baby was coming.
With their three year old son, Charlie, in the car the family only got about 20 minutes into the 35 minute trip to the hospital.
Cinatl’s water broke and she said she could feel the baby’s head between her legs. That was when they pulled off the road to deliver right there in the car.
They didn’t know their birth photographer had gone to their house first and followed them on the way to the hospital “just in case something happened.”
Luckily for the Cinatl’s she was there to capture the unique miracle of baby Matilda’s birth.
After the birth they called an ambulance, and both mommy and baby were so healthy they were discharged from the hospital six hours later.
That’s one proud mother.

The world is a cruel place. Every day when we wake up, there’s more bad news — another depressing trend on Twitter, another news anchor breaking down in tears, another war. It seems endless.
Fortunately for all of humankind, dogs exist — and more specifically, Buddy the Rescue Dog exists. His life got off to a rough start, but once he found his forever home, tail-wagging became the adorable norm.
Buddy’s favorite humans love to spoil him, and when the weather finally warmed up, they knew they had to supply him with everything he’d need for hours of summer fun. That’s where this ball thrower comes in.
I seriously wish I got this pumped over anything.
Bad days? What bad days? Buddy doesn’t do bad days.
We all really need to take a page out of his book and happily lose our damn minds over the little things in life. For more of this guy’s adorable antics, be sure to follow him on Facebook!
It’s no secret that cake is a gift to the universe, but we all know that some frosting-covered confections are a cut above the rest. If you’ve turned on your TV at any point over the last decade or so, you’ve probably seen incredible cakes that double as art pieces. The only downside is that making statement cakes at home is pretty much impossible if you don’t happen to be a professionally trained baker or a wizard.
While making cake sculptures might not be on the horizon for, like, any of us, there are some tricks out there that will help us bake cakes that’ll wow our party guests. Take this recipe, for example. If you want to step your baking game up, check this out!
See? That wasn’t so hard. It might not get you your own Food Network show, but it will certainly leave an impression on your guests!
When people live in a different state (or country) than their family, the best ways to stay connected are usually by phone or email.
However, one man in Brazil does it a bit differently when it comes to his grandchildren. When Ji Lee saw that his 75-year-old father, Chan Jae Lee, seemed lonely and withdrawn, he came up with a great way to keep him in contact with his grandchildren, who live in New York and Korea. Ji knew that his dad loved drawing, so he convinced him to draw and paint something every day for the kids to see, and Chan’s wife could then upload the pictures to Instagram.
He wasn’t happy about it at first, but after traveling to New York to meet Ji’s newborn son, Astro, he realized he could leave them a legacy that would last forever. “I explained the reasons he should do it: drawing for his three grandchildren — and he saw a very specific purpose. It’s not just drawing for drawing’s sake, it’s not just sharing for sharing’s sake. It’s for his grandchildren,” Ji told Today.
Though they can’t be with him and see it for themselves, he can share the view from his living room.
If you are a fan of searching the internet for cool DIY ideas, then chances are you’ve seen some pretty amazing things that parents have made for their little ones.
But Redditor Missilluzion and her husband really outdid themselves when they spent a year building an adorable playhouse for their three-year-old son. If your kids love castles, you’ll definitely want to check this out.
They used two-by-fours to build the castle’s frame.
Instagram doesn’t have to be all selfies and pictures of brunch. Take the consistently amazing National Geographic Instagram account, for example. Each day, Nat Geo collects the best pictures from their photographers and determines which jaw-dropping shot will be crowned their “Photo of the Day.”
The 2015 roundup was published earlier this month, so we thought we would take a look at some of the best entries from 2015!
He may be a humpback, but that doesn’t mean he’s not flexible.
Another neat thing about the National Geographic Instagram account is that it gives you access to the accounts of some of their best photographers. If you follow some of your favorites, it’s almost like you have a Nat Geo subscription!
A brave little girl in Scotland started feeling sad after enduring yet another round of chemotherapy. That’s when her parents decided to work with the staff at Glasgow’s New Royal Hospital for Sick Children to bring her favorite song to life.
But something happened halfway through that no one saw coming. When you see it play out, you won’t be able to stop smiling.
So this didn't quite go as I had pictured in my head but we all had fun and as always Millie is showing chemo won't bring her down!!⛄️❄️I must thank the lovely girls from the night shift last night in schiehallion for being good sports and making Millie's day!. You are all amazing!!
After Millie was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma, her parents immediately started an online fundraiser to raise money for her care. If you’d like to help Millie, please consider donating. To keep up with this brave girl’s journey, follow her on Facebook.
