POTUS proud of NBA for joining Everytown’s gun control effort

Michael Bloomberg’s gun control group Everytown for Gun Safety has scored quite a coup by convincingseveral NBA stars to appear inits new video. The New York Times reportsthat the idea originated with director Spike Lee, who approachedESPN president John Skipper, who then took the idea toNBA commissioner Adam Silver.

We sincerely didn’t know the NBA had apresident of social responsibility, butKathleen Behrens, who holds the position, told the New York Times, “We know far too many people who have been caught up in gun violence in this country, and we can do something about it.”

The video is available for viewing on YouTube, but comments are blocked, so keep your opinions to yourself.

President Obama, currently on vacation in Hawaii, tweeted his thanks to the NBA for contributing to Everytown’s gun control effort.

Every year, I look for new and exciting DIY projects to make during the holidays.

Ever Wondered What The Inside Of A Rattlesnake Nest Looks Like? Prepare For Terror

If you’ve ever wondered whether snake pits like the ones Indiana Jones is so afraid of actually exist, you’ll want to see this. A man recently attached a GoPro to a drone and flew it into a snake pit, and it was really filled with a gaggle of snakes. Needless to say, they weren’t pumped about the intrusion.

Growing angrier by the second, it was only a matter of time until they struck. What happened at the 2:15 mark will have you jumping out of your seat!

Well, I know what will be fueling my nightmares until further notice. If that guy tries this again, he might need Indy’s help!

Toddler’s Lion Impression Isn’t Exactly Fierce, But It Is Incredibly Cute

Kids love to dress up like and imitate their favorite animals.

Personally, I loved to act like a peppy dog. It’s an adorable phenomenon, and the videos that pop up online after Halloween each year are too cute to handle. The video below, which shows a little tyke pretending to be a lion, is one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen.

Watch the cuteness that happens when the toddler’s parent tries to get their little lion to roar.

This Guy Appears To Make Short Skits While Playing With A Dead Body

Pretty much everything that can exist does exist in some form online. While this is exciting at some level, it’s also a terrifying prospect. Most of use aren’t disturbed enough to think of all the weird, crazy things that we sometimes encounter on the internet, but the many creeps who call the web home certainly are.

And some sickos are a cut above the rest. Take, for example, a YouTuber who goes by Jake.

Jake’s channel consists solely of disturbing black and white video sketches that seem to incorporate a dead body wrapped in a garbage bag.

Saying that this footage is disturbing is putting it mildly.

All of the short flickers of text that come across the screen in these videos don’t make them any better.

One enterprising Redditor was able to piece together all of these texts. The result is actually a poem.

Here’s a transcript:

There was a lady all skin and bone; Sure such a lady was never known. It happened upon a certain day, this lady went to the church to pray. When she came to the church stile, there she did rest a little while; When she came to the church yard, there the bells so loud she heard. When she came to the church door, she stopped to rest a little more; When she came to the church within, the parson prayed ‘gainst pride and sin. On looking up, on looking down, she saw a dead man on the ground; And from his nose unto his chin, the worms crawled out, the worms crawled in. Then she unto the parson said, “Shall I be so when I am dead?” “Oh yes! Oh yes,” the parson said, “You will be so when you are dead.” Here the lady screams.

This one might be the freakiest of all.

(via Reddit)

Well, I’m never sleeping again. I’d really like to know what exactly is happening in these videos and why, but I would settle for knowing whether or not that’s a real body.

Female celebs confess to love of Hillary’s pantsuits in video

With only hours left before the Iowa caucuses, Lena Dunham is circulating a hastily shot and edited video showing a number of female celebrities reciting the line, “I’m with her,” with all the passion and persuasion of an automated answering machine routing your call to the help desk. To Dunham’s credit, we did recognize nearlyhalf of these big time celebs without peeking at the name cards.

All of these women love Hillary’s pantsuits, but what will they think of her bracelets when she’s finally indicted? A majority of Dunham’s followers are #FeelingTheBern, and display an encyclopedic knowledge of Clinton’s scandals.

Gossip monger Perez Hilton? He’s with her.

Now look what you’ve done, Dunham.

Steven Crowder takes on Lena Dunham and “rape culture” [video]

The left is obsessed with taking strong words and robbing them of their real meaning. “Racism” and “hate” are now applied to simple disagreement. With all the talk condemning “rape culture” are they minimizing the real crime of rape? Steven Crowder tackles the issue (and —shudder— plays Lena Dunham again) in his latest video.

New video up tonight! Will be taking @lenadunham to task and addressing our plaguing "rape culture" problem.

‘WH grammar fail’! Having health insurance is ‘basic tenant of being a human’ [video]

Yeah … that’s not a compliment.

This afternoon, the White House pimped a new video starring celebrities who haven’t signed up for Obamacare telling us to sign up for Obamacare. Unfortunately, they forgot to run their tweet by the Grammar Fairy first:

Wouldn’t it, though?

Hey @WhiteHouse
Tenet – a principal or belief
Tenant- a person who rents or occupies property of a landlord— Chelle (@FL_Chelle) March 21, 2014

But maybe in this particular case, “tenant” kinda sorta makes a little sense:

So there’s that. Oh, and did we mention that nobody’s buying what the White House is selling?

These Soldiers Served Their Country. Then THIS Happened?

If you support our troops, you should watch this video.

No one knows exactly how many U.S. veterans have been deported because the government keeps no official record. Upworthy fact-checkers estimate that at least 3,000-4,000 veterans have been sent away. To us, that’s already several thousand too many.

I Never Thought I'd Get Shivers From A Homemade Helicopter
